Tier 2 (Reach Outward)

Students will become leaders within their families, friends, and schools as they build on the skills learned in Tier 1. By valuing who they are, they will develop their ability to understand, value, and draw from the talents of others as they improve the quality of life in the world around them.

Soft Skills

Students will learn the value of soft skills as they develop their ability to communicate with family, friends, and work in the school settings. As they practice soft skills in family, peer, and school settings, they will build a foundation that will enable them to succeed as employees, employers, and leaders.

LEAP (Love, Energy, Audacity, Proof)

Students will learn to apply the concepts of LEAP as they begin to serve others within their family, friends, and schools. When students become passionate about serving others with Love they will develop the Energy they need to move forward as the Audacious leaders our world needs. they will Prove that they have what it takes to become the leaders of the future.

Mentoring

11th grade students will participate in a mentorship program in which they will mentor 9th and 10th grade students who are struggling in school. By practicing the soft skills and applying the methods learned through the LEAP program students will reinforce what they learned in Tier 1 by continuing to practice identifying qualities of their mentees and helping them succeed based on each individual’s needs. In this way, both those who are helping as well as those being helped will benefit.

Change the World Project

Before students are able to make a change in the (W)orld around them, they must learn how to make changes in their immediate (w)orld. For this project students will determine what their own world it (the world they live in. They will design a project that will affect a change within this small part of the world. Using leadership skills they have developed in working with a variety of people, and valuing differences, they will create a diversified group which they will lead to complete their project.
