Identity and Spirituality

YOU Life Skills and Leadership seeks to help youth understand who they are, and who they can become. With a knowledge of their divine origin, they are prepared to lead themselves and make wise choices in a world that would lead them away from their divine purpose. Using a combination of scripture and science, teens are prepared to make choices based on their values and convictions.

Course Objectives

• Participants will complete an Identity Wheel to differentiate between their cultural identity, personality, values, and spiritual identity.
• Participants will identify their CORE Values and write a Values Statement.
• Participants will take a Biblical Personality Profile to determine who in the Bible has characteristics which match theirs and what characteristic of Christ they share.
• Participants will learn how they can use increased knowledge of their personality style to do good and to help strengthen and serve others.
• Participants will learn how their personality style influences how they react in times of conflict, and what they can do to become peacemakers.
• Various options are provided from 90 minute to 8-hour conference sessions. All sessions include audience participation and projects for participants to take home with them.
• This program pairs well with our DISC for Educators for Christian-based education programs.
